Lowery should have been gone at SIU, but we're so broke we can't afford the buyout. :ohno:

I laugh at the incompetence of the administration that drew that contract up.

I'm sure Lowery laughs every time he goes to the bank too. Hell, I bet he hopes he gets bought out.

Glad this year is the last year I'll be in Carbondale, won't have to have it the obviously terrible basketball team thrown in my face all winter.

...and UNLV will likely be a coin toss between Reggie Theus and Dave Rice. Rice likely has the edge as his brother is a HS coach in LV and could deliver 2-3 top 50 players a year.

I agree with the hire, he has local and SU connections. Hopefully he can right the ship.

I fully expect the Longergan to GW move to be wrapped up by Friday. As a recap, when Nero (AE Commish) took over as GW AD, it appeared Hobbs would have 1 more year. But with the unexpected GMU opening, GW had to make the move early to have a chance at getting Lonergan since GMU is a job he likely wouldn't have passed on (to return to DC).

Stranger things could happen and he could opt for GMU though...which puts Capel or Dooley at GW.
