Out of my cries for Harvard's snobbing from the Dance, here it is. A thread here exclusively devoted to the NIT.

NIT Selection is tonight 9 PM ET. Please post the complete field just in case it is complete.

FCS teams in the NIT:

3 Missouri State vs. 6 Murray State - Tuesday
6 Harvard vs. 3 Oklahoma State - Tuesday
3 Dayton vs. 6 Coll. of Charleston - Tuesday
8 Bethune-Cookman vs. 1 Virginia Tech - Tuesday'
8 Texas Southern vs. 1 Colorado - Wednesday
8 McNeese State vs. 1 Boston College - Tuesday

Upsets seldom happen in the NIT, which is why I tend to pick higher seeds who win.

All about the $$$$$$$$$$$$$

No reason MSU and Harvard should be seeded where they are...

The Griz apparently let their CIT invite expire in the hopes of an NIT bid. I'm not sure why they thought that was a good idea, because UM wasn't even on the NIT bubble in the projections I saw.

The CBI appears to be Montana's only hope now. Rumors are that the CBI asked 11-20 Iowa to join (UI said no), so they must be desperate.

I'll be rooting hard for Harvard against the Cowpokes on Tuesday night. We drew the ESPN slot! :thumb:

Don't bet against the Virginia Tech Hokies. They are the most experienced NIT team around. They go every year.

No they didn't. The only team that has a complaint is Colorado over UAB. MAYBE...

If they replace 4 of Campbell, UNC Greensboro, CSU Northridge, South Carolina Upstate, Mt. St. Marys and Longwood with George Mason, James Madison, Virginia Commonwealth and Old Dominion they would have a dramatic improvement in schedule strength and RPI even if they lost 1 or 2 of them. And at least then they would look like they were trying to have a decent schedule. But they don't think it's worth the risk of defeat and damage to their vaunted ACC reputation. As if going to the NIT year after year isn't doing just that. A pox on them!

Harvard's only a six-point road dog tonight. Will ESPN have Dickie V at the game? After all, we're much smarter than the Dookies. 8-)

Harvard loses 71-54 to bigger, more athletic OSU team. Oh, well. Get 'em next year!

On to UTEP at New Mexico.

Dang, I was pulling for Harvard, it would've been more fun to have them come up to Pullman for a second round game than bringing Oklahoma State up (assuming we beat Long Beach State obviously).

The good news is we have no one to lose to graduation next year. Problem is: Will Amaker be a candidate for other schools' coaching searches in the offseason?

Good call, Ivy. #4 Wichita State pulls the upset over #1 'Bama 66-57.

SH finishes the NIT 13/28 and was out of the last several rounds. That's what I get for picking Bezerkeley. Ugh!

:ohno:

Seemed decently noisy in there tonight, and it was nice to stand for the game (“student” section, even without students was Not Going To Sit)
