That is one SORRY home OOC schedule. Do your fans actually pay for tickets to these horrible games?

Hell yeah, I do. Also helps that season ticket packs are $75. I believe we're going through dates with Milligan set up by a previous regime and if we were to play one sub-DI team as a home game, it should be Lees-McRae.

Plus the ECU game is technically a home game that should draw at least 12-15K. And our conference schedule is as good as it could be with a bunch of Saturday home games against our top rivals.

Harvard has released its 2011-2012 schedule. Highlights:

-MIT November 11 (first game)
-LMU in L.A. November 19
-Battle 4 Atlantis tournament in the Bahamas, Thanksgiving weekend
-UConn on the road
-Florida Atlantic at home
-Monmouth Jan. 10 and Jan. 14, last OOC games of the season

As for our women's basketball team, there is a freshman who became the first McDonald's All-American, men or women, who will make her collegiate debut at an Ivy League school. Temi Fagbenle is her name. Another All-American nominee is on Harvard's roster as well; her name is Christine Mansour.

For their schedule:
-Hawkeye Challenge in Iowa (starts the season)
-Providence, URI, Holy Cross, UNH
-Minnesota Tournament
-St. John's, Hartford, UMass, TCU
-Last OOC game: U of North Dakota  (January 17)

Going to be a down year for ODU after winning the last two CAA Championships and appearing in the last two NCAA Tournaments.

ODU hasn't released their schedule yet but so far fans have put together these games...

UNI, Mizzou, ECU, VMI, Long Island University, Vermont (home)

USF (neutral), Penn State/Kentucky (neutral)

Refresh my memory here, dbackjon. Bracketbusters seeding is based on - roughly - midseason RPI, right? Hypothetically, NAU could be undefeated but still wouldn't get a tv game due to seating capacity issues in Rolle, right?

That BYU game in Prescott is a welcome surprise. I expect Arizona's BYU alumni base to represent itself well.

Wont NAU be playing in the Skydome again this year? Arent the renovations done or will be done soon?

PSU got a TV game in the Stott Center, so I doubt something like that would be a big problem.

TV games are given to the top teams in the bracket buster. The top RPI's for the home side play the top RPI's on the road side. There is no seeding involved.

The way it works is that if you want a tv (okay a good tv) game you need to be a top 50 or 60 RPI team, that has a legit At-Large shot, with a damn good resume.

More often than not those games land with CAA and MVC like teams.

It has zero to do with attendance...although ESPN showing the games from some of these California gyms is embarrassing. My high school, which is 110 students 9-12, (and one of the smallest in the state) has a nicer gym than most of those places...more seating, or as much seating as well.

midseason RPI, yes

I was suprised as well - had to check the BYU site to make sure it wasn't BYU-Idaho...lol.

No hoops in the Skydome at least through for the upcoming season. After that...who knows?

"We will be playing all of our men’s and women’s basketball games in the Rolle Activity Center next season. The University has committed to putting 1,200 new chair back seats in the building but the timeline for the installation is still to be determined."

Limited seating will be a bummer but the Skydome has never felt like a true basketball environment no matter how many people are packed in there. There were mutterings a few months back in the Arizona Daily Sun about converting the fieldhouse (north end of the student union) into a basketball facility. Will have to see if I can find the link to the article.

No problem. The BB was the brainchild of the MVC comish a couple years ago.

Great for some mid-majors and terrible for others. Honestly, outside of the game on ESPNU at 8 or 9 PM the game does nothing for teams from conferences that have no shots at an at-large.

Hell, even for teams with a shot an at-large at this point it is a bad thing because they can lose to a top 35 RPI team, but it will be held against them because they lost to a mid-major.

1,200 added onto the 900 they already have? or just 1,200? As a NAU fan, where would you prefer NAU to play, the Skydome or the Rolle?

StonyBrook dropped to 2-1 on their European Tour losing to the Mid Night Madness AllStars in London.

Final Midnight Madness 79 SBU 75. This was an All Star Team featuring some of the best plyers in England.
Thursday evening we take on the MK Lions supposedly another solid team. Then off to Paris for the final game of the tour Saturday night.
