Amazing- 17 games in and they've played maybe two decent teams (Florida and Marquette) and both were at home. The first time they could play a ranked opponent on the road would be in mid-February when they play Louisville. As good as 'Cuse is, it's also hard to see because they've played nobody, especially on the road. nova isn't going to change that either.

haha nova is such a joke this year. I guess the bright spot is we don't have a senior on the team so everyone is coming back plus new recruits. Syracuse looked like a beast though I must say.

Problem is, there's no on other than Yarou on the current team who is really good enough. Wayns and especially Cheek have been huge disappointments. This just isn't a one year blip for nova, it's going to be at least another year. Wright's been good, but he struck out with that recruiting class and it's going to linger until those guys are gone. I haven't seen enough of the freshmen to tell if they're going to help or not. The power in Philly has temporarily shifted to North Broad Street and City Avenue.

When as the last time Cuse played a road OOC game?

When was the last time Cuse played a ranked OOC game, not post season?

Shit, I think UNI last season may be one of the better OOC games they play.

The problem with Nova is that they don't have someone like a Stokes from last year. Every team should have one of those guys that just sits on the outside and drills 3's for a living. With no consistent outside threat, this year's team is full of shooting guards and small forwards that can dribble but can't shoot consistently. And with no backup to Yarou, when he needs rest, the team really suffers to shut down other centers. Waynes at least gets people open, but I agree, Cheek has been a bust. But who knows, maybe he'll turn into the force he was supposed to be next year. Remember, Dante Cunningham of nova's final four team didn't really explode until his senior year. But I digress, so I'll stop here.

Hard to believe Pitt is still winless.

The Cuse is now 20-0. Long way to go - to think that a team can go undefeated in the Big East for a season is delusional though - no matter how good the Orange are.

This ain't your daddy's Big East - heck, it's not even last year's Big East. A lot of fluff there right now, and 'Cuse has a soft schedule for it. Right now they don't play a ranked team until Feb 8th and they don't play their first road game against a ranked team, all season mind you, until they play at Louisville on Feb 13th (and that's assuming that Louisville even is still ranked by then). And if nothing changes, 'Cuse will have played all of 2 road games all year against ranked teams - the Louisville game (if they are ranked) and UConn. Let's face it, 'Cuse may not see a real tough game until the last night in New York City in early March, and if not then then in the Sweet Sixteen. You couldn't have come up with an easier schedule at this point.

Looked out of sorts Saturday without Fab Melo. Hopefully whatever academics issue he has can be resolved. Big game on the road vs the Natty tonight.

Cuse was done in by the Curse of Spike Lee - what the hell was he doing behind the bench? Also Bill Clinton was there hob-knobbing with all the Cuse fans.

Well, at least 'Cuse is toeing the line a bit now. These revelations of guys playing for the past decade while failing drug tests is starting to make you wonder what kind of show Boheim is running up there. And besides, I had them losing before the Final Four anyway so I don't need to use the eraser much on my brackets.

Cuse went from the Final Four to a Sweet 16 exit in my pool. I think I've finally settled on my pool - a lot of chalk - only 5 1st round upsets & 6 of the sweet 16 being 5 seeds or higher.
