In the postseason tournament, the top seed will get a first-round bye in addition to hosting the tournament. The three first-round games will pit the No. 2 seed vs. No. 7, No. 3 vs. No. 6, and No. 4 vs. No. 5. The top seed will face the lowest remaining seed in the semifinals, with the remaining two teams squaring off.
Tinkle said the coaches had pushed for a league tournament that involved all 11 teams.

Yeah...there's been a bit of a stranglehold as of late, hasn't there.Wildcat Ryan wrote:Darell1976 wrote:You guys are going to like coming up to Grand Forks for tournament time!!
You'll have to go through Ogden or Missoula first
Wait, .500 teams are going to host the tournament now?Darell1976 wrote:You guys are going to like coming up to Grand Forks for tournament time!!
UND losing at Sac means they won't be shit in BSC hoops for a long while. UND can enjou the caboose side ofr BSC tournament for a while. 7 teams in seem wierd. I'd be ok with only the top 6 stll makin the BSC tourney.Mvemjsunpx wrote:Wait, .500 teams are going to host the tournament now?Darell1976 wrote:You guys are going to like coming up to Grand Forks for tournament time!!
UND may get the other teams at home, but your 1-12 road record this season doesn't make me worry too much about the Sioux hosting.
The tournament format is fine with me, but I'm not liking the 20-game schedule. I'd like to see more than 9 non-conference games.
Upping it to 7 teams actually lowers the % of teams that gets in, FWIW.SDHornet wrote:UND losing at Sac means they won't be shit in BSC hoops for a long while. Thats fine with me. A team fails to win .500 in confrence tells me they dont belong in a post season discussion.Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:Upping it to 7 teams actually lowers the % of teams that gets in, FWIW.SDHornet wrote: UND losing at Sac means they won't be shit in BSC hoops for a long while. How about UND beating Montana, North Dakota State, and South Dakota State? I think if UND can find the magic they had last year (appeared in the CIT after winning the GWC) they could be tough in the BSC.SDHornet wrote:UND losing at Sac means they won't be **** in BSC hoops for a long while.
