#2 OR Tech upset #1 Northwood (FL) 63-46 Tues night for the title.

Und got 4th place. Heres thier coach
“I’m proud of where we’ve been,” UND coach Brian Jones said of the transition. “Not many teams have had this kind of success through the transition.
Never beat a bcs school, obviously not a ranked them, a below .400 record. HAHAHA NAIA FOR U

Brian Jones did go on to say, "it was nice we got 4th place but at least we beat Montana, South Dakota State and of course our in-state rival North Dakota State all in the same year."lakesbison wrote:Und got 4th place. Heres thier coach

Re: NAIA D-II Boys Championship
What are you guys talking about? The only team from ND to make this tournament was #10 seed Jamestown (ND), which was upset by Saint Francis (IN) in the first round 64-63. There was also a school from SD: #5 McPherson (KS) beat Dakota State (SD) in the first round 69-63. McPherson went on to lose to #1 Northwood (FL) in the semis.
These NAIA tournaments have an interesting concept: bring 32 teams to one location and play ALL the games in the span of a week. I wonder what the NCAAs would look like with that kind of a paradigm. But there was a big difference between the guys and girls tournaments. The NAIA girls tournaments seeded EVERYBODY in groups of 8, but the guys tournaments only seeded the top 16 nationally and filtered in everyone else. I think I like the idea of seeding everyone more.

Re: NAIA D-II Boys Championship
Lakes likes to think UND is part of the NAIA due to the NAIA teams we play in our transition period in football. (even though NDSU, SDSU, and USD did the same thing). So he came up with his little fantasy and I just added to it.SuperHornet wrote:What are you guys talking about?
