This is in wake of a widespread academic cheating scandal at the College. Big loss for the Crimson coming into the season. :ohno: :x

Double jeopardy! :ohno:

Brandyn Curry has also withdrawn in the wake of the same scandal.

The glory is back in the hands of the P's. :ohno:

Harvard beats a weak Fordham team by 9 at Lavietes. Back to .500. :coffee:

Wow, Harvard beat BC again, 79-63. That's the fifth straight time. UConn coming up. The Huskies have beaten us twice in a row.

Harvard loses to UConn again in Storrs, 57-49.

Harvard nipped BU last night, 65-64, to move to 5-4.

No Ivy hoops team is lighting it up so far. Penn, Princeton and Columbia may be in the mix for the NCAA autobid.

Unfortunately, we need to finish the OOC schedule to gauge whose Ivy team is really on top this year.

Harvard's performance against common OOC opponents from last year, particularly St. Joe's, suggests we won't come close to matching last year's record. We beat BC again, but so could the Little Sisters of the Poor, and we lost to Vermont at home and almost lost to BU. Memphis and St. Mary's-Moraga coming up on the road, where Harvard hasn't played well. The loss of the two cheating studs will really hurt.

Harvard beats Holy Cross at home, 72-65, to move to 6-4. Tough two-game road trip coming up at Cal-Berkeley and St. Mary's-Moraga.

Harvard beats Cal on the road, 67-62. Enough 3-pointers dropped to make the difference fir the Crimson.

Harvard lost to St. Mary's 70-69. The Crimson blew a big lead somewhere in the second half. We miss Casey so much when we needed him the most.

Yup. St. Mary's only lead of the game was at the end after the two free throws they made with less than 2 seconds left. Harvard did poorly at the line -- rather unusual for them, but it cost them. :twocents:

Harvard thumps Rice 92-62 thanks to torrid shooting. On to league play!

Harvard beats Dartmouth 75-65 in Ivy opener. Penn about to lose to Princeton. Unusual to have those two teams playing each other so early.

Harvard falls to Memphis, 60-50. Back to Ivy play next week.

Speaking of which, watch out for Columbia this year.

The NYT caught up with the two lately... and here is what they have found... the two are doing productive lives, albeit in different ways and regions, during their year off...

Harvard got lucky today. Down by 9 at halftime, they needed OT to beat perennial Ivy doormat Dartmouth, 82-77. Does not bode well for upcoming play against tougher teams. :|

Harvard holds off Yale at home, 67-64. Brown up tonight.

Another nail-biter. Harvard squanders a 13-point halftime lead but survives to beat Brown in double OT, 89-82. Princeton and Harvard both undefeated in league play. On the road to the NY schools next weekend.

Horrors! Tightening academic standards for athletes! Heck, I remember when Harvard used to send promising hockey players to prep school for a year so they could do the work when they got there. And I remember from my interviewing days that athletes with markedly lower SATs than other applicants got in if Harvard really wanted them.

Harvard holds off Cornell 67-65 after leading by 16 at the half. I detect a bad pattern here. Lucky so far.
