Well that is all you can do, because once the conference tourney starts all records seem to get forgotten and some teams rise to the occasion.

That is 100% true, I've seen that happen time after time.

It seems to happen in March Madness about once or twice a year also. A team just gets hot and happens to catch a team or two that are playing flat and end up in the elite 8.

The bad thing about the Big Sky is that road wins are hard to come by so even the best team in the conference can lose a game, and that is why The Big Sky team always goes into the dance at a 14, 15 or 16 seed

With UNI having a 2 game conference lead on Ill St. I would give UNI the 12 and Ill St the 13 at this point. Ill St. might have the better record, but they played a VERY favorable non conference

How is the Big Sky's conference RPI this year? Looking at the schedules, it looks like teams stepped up and attempted to play more top 100 RPI teams. ISU had Wisconsin, Montana played Duke etc.

According to realtimerpiā¦
- MBB: 22nd. (last year: 25th.)
WBB: 24th. (last year: 19th.)
Wow, that's the first time I can remember the men having a better RPI ranking than the women.

Big Sky teams definetely had tougher schedules this year, In the preseason Weber had 9 away games and only 4 home games.

Well, Montana as of late has sure been playing much more like a team and getting after it. They seem to be gelling at the right time. I would like to officially change my prediction from Weber St. to Montana.
