Montana's ultimate position in the standings will be in large part determined by how long Will Cherry is sidelined.

There's also the possibility they he could redshirt if he's out for too long.

UND will be a contender if the two things come true:

1. learn how to win on the road. UND was 2-13 in regular season play but 2-0 in the GWC tournament in Chicago and won it all.

2. make free throws. UND was 63% and out of 345 teams (including reclassifying teams which UND was in) that would rank us roughly 321 tied with Texas Southern and SE Missouri St.

UND played some BSC teams last year:

won vs Idaho State, Montana
lost at Idaho State, at Sac State

UND is the back to back champions of the GWC tournament. UND is the defending GWC women's bball tournament champions.

THe the news is bad for Will, Montana should try to get a MRS for him so he can come back next year stronger and healthier.

He still has his redshirt, IIRC. So he wouldn't necessarily need a MRS.
