ESPN has done a first in college sports... 24 hours full of LIVE college basketball in their family of networks.

Right now, Stony Brook is leading against Rider at the half, 28-21.

Valpo is next against NIU, then afterwards Harvard will square off against ex-FCS member UMass.

Later in the day:
4 PM: Butler at Xavier; 9 PM: Lehigh at Pitt (can another FCS member slay Pitt again this year, this time on the hardwood?)

Earlier, in the Pit of Albuquerque, Davidson was edged by the Lobos 86-81.

Stony Brook needed a late surge to hold off Rider, 54-46. Valpo's now playing right now...

Valpo used a strong second half to defeat the NIU Huskies 69-46. Harvard's first real test for 2012-2013 (and without Curry and Casey as well) is here. Now. Against the Minutemen.

It's hardly a first but cool none the less and something I look forward to every year now!

Some big time games to finish it off tonight

Delaware gets its first victory over an ACC opponent in 50 years, beating Virginia 59-53.

Maybe the Mayans were right about 2012.
