Hey folks how about these two mid major powers battle it out for all the marbles in April for the NCAA hoops title among men!!!!

Gonzaga could easily win the entire thing. Best center in college basketball and a top 10 PG. Deep, veteran lineup.

Both have already lost to Illinois

No, and their only other loss was by an ot buzzer beater at #10 Butler. The Zags also pulled an SHSU with the Big 12 beating OSU, Oklahoma, Baylor, and KSU. This is a very good basketball team with a shot to win it all.

That is why I say these two teams could make history two mid majors battling for it all in April.All the powerhouses aren't playing well this year so why not???And the winner could have a player that might gain the attention of the NBA!!!

Hey but Butler isn't ranked 5th nationally that honor belongs to Gonzaga.Would like to see both of those 7ft'ers play together.

Yeah, and Butler beat Gonzaga. And they've won more tournament games in the last 5 years than the Zags have. Butler is the better program right now.

And those 3 teams are all firmly on the bubble. They don't suck. Do some homework first. The argument is Butler v. Gonzaga...and Butler beat Gonzaga. They play in a harder conference and are demonstrably better than Gonzaga despite their being ranked lower.

BTW despite the A-10 being #7 in RPI and the WCC being #10, Gonzaga is #12 and Butler is #18. Butler's SOS is 58 and Gonzaga's is 61.

Pretty damn equal teams.

When Butler beat Gonzaga, they did it WITHOUT their top player, Rotnei Clarke.

Paul was just insane in that game against Gonzaga - dude just couldn't miss. If he's on like that for an extended time Illinois will be a tough out in the tourney. With that said, when he goes cold the Illini go cold.

This is the best Zags team in years, IMO. Most teams are going to have a hard time handling that size. Could be the Zags first Final Four ever too.
