The 17 year drought is over!

Post by andy7171 »

Towson mens basketball has it's first winning season in 17 years!
To go from 1 win a year ago to 16 wins this season is quite the turn around.
Last season in the Towson Center. Lots of great memories in that building, glad to see us have a winning season to close it out.
"Elaine, you're from Baltimore, right?"
"Yes, well, Towson actually."

Andy is old enough to remember before the draught. Those of us born in the greatest year of 1971 are practically on the cusp of becoming curmudgeonly. Pointers would be appreciated.

DJP is a year or two older that us graduates of the finest HS class in all the land. 1989!

And Good Ole TSU went to the dance twice in my 5 years there. We also made the NCAA lax Championship game and went to the playoff every year too. Besies getting ass fucked my senior year out of the football playoffs, I'd say I went to Towson in the golden years. Although, the future is looking bright.

Towson Center, I spend well over half my time on campus there. Practice, game days, lifting, treatment, 6am workouts, meetings, film. Its removed from the rest of campus. So it ain't easy getting over there, once you got there, you stayed.

I broke my 17-year old drought when I nailed a high school junior this weekend.

HHmmm. Not sure. With two going all over the place with lax games and me coaching the youngest, my Saturdays in the Spring are busy. But Towson likes to play under the lights on Saturdays. Maybe? :thumb:

We beat Mason!!!! If we beat Hofstra this Saturday, we'll own the best turnaround team in NCAA history!
2011/12 - 1-30
2012/13 - 18-13

Just think if we had not had two early season clunkers against stupid UMBC and Coppin, we might have been going for a 20 win season!

Even better, the future look brighter and the new arena will be rocking next season!

Keeping it. Too many office and class rooms in that place. Its the phys ed department as well as the arena. There are rumors they are going to lay field turf inside and make it a indoor practice faciliy. The rubberized floor is in shitty condition.

Hazing at El Cid has reached a new level......
‎"Born in other countries, yet believing you could be happy in this, our laws acknowledge, as they should do, your right to join us in society, conforming, as I doubt not you will do, to our established rules. That these rules shall be as equal as prudential considerations will admit, will certainly be the aim of our legislatures, general and particular." --Thomas Jefferson, letter to Hugh White, 1801
