first four question

Post by tampajag »

Been having this discussion with friends: If your team was a 16 seed would you rather they play in the first four or go directly to the game with the 1 seed?

Rather they just go lose to the 1 seed.

I think the first 4 concept is stupid, may as well have the first round consist of 128 teams or even 256.

FWIW that first four counts as an NCAA money unit....you win that game and then lose to the #1 seed you also get a unit.

Getting 2 NCAA money units out of losing the game you would have lost anyway is great for a 16.

Yeah rather go straight to 1 seed you get time to rest your players and study opponent.Teams involved in play in games get no rest at all your basically a sitting duck.

This. Get the extra money then lose to the #1 seed sounds more appealing(?).

Which is an argument for a 96 team field. All the Top 8 seeds get a first round bye. 9 plays 24, 10 plays 23, and so on and so forth in the first round.
MEAC, last one out turn off the lights.

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.
