first four question
Been having this discussion with friends: If your team was a 16 seed would you rather they play in the first four or go directly to the game with the 1 seed?

Re: first four question
Rather they just go lose to the 1 seed.

Re: first four question
I think the first 4 concept is stupid, may as well have the first round consist of 128 teams or even 256.

Re: first four question
FWIW that first four counts as an NCAA money unit....you win that game and then lose to the #1 seed you also get a unit.
Getting 2 NCAA money units out of losing the game you would have lost anyway is great for a 16.

Yeah rather go straight to 1 seed you get time to rest your players and study opponent.Teams involved in play in games get no rest at all your basically a sitting duck.Vidav wrote:Rather they just go lose to the 1 seed.

This. Get the extra money then lose to the #1 seed sounds more appealing(?).clenz wrote:FWIW that first four counts as an NCAA money unit....you win that game and then lose to the #1 seed you also get a unit.

Re: first four question
Which is an argument for a 96 team field. All the Top 8 seeds get a first round bye. 9 plays 24, 10 plays 23, and so on and so forth in the first round.SDHornet wrote:This.
