"The Harrisonburg (VA.) Daily News-Record reported that James Madison senior forward Rayshawn Groins, the team's leading scorer, was arrested Sunday night, and his status is uncertain with the team scheduled to play Long Island University in an NCAA tournament play-in game Wednesday night.
According to the report, Goins was arrested on charges of obstruction of justice and disorderly conduct. He was was released on his own recognizance on $2,500 unsecured bond. The arrest stemmed from an incident at a team party Saturday night.
"The athletic administration is aware of the situation," Madison officials said in a statement. "We will not be providing any additional comments until we review this matter (Monday)."
