How did RMU get the home game with a #8 seed?

Kentucky's Rupp Arena is being used for NCAA games so Kentucky couldn't host. I'm sure they just assumed they'd be in the NCAA tournament when they figured that scheduling out.

Side note - Jon Calipari was actually born in Moon Township, PA (home of RMU).

Yeah, but Rupp isn't being used for any NCAA tourney games till Thur. No reason KY couldn't have hosted a Tues night game.

And UK has the "old" Memorial Coliseum still available (10,600 seats, their women's hoops and volleyball squads play there), but they claim a shortage of staffers available, so they traveled.
