Big Sky Basketball - 2013-14

Weber should be just underway @ BYU, SUU has to play the same Arizona Christian team that beat NAU in an exhibition, and PSU might have an outside shot at an upset against a UNLV team that looked horrid in its exhibition games.

Also… Weber's women beat NAIA Walla Walla by 82 points, their first win since December, 2011.

Weber's already getting stomped, down 17 in the first half. SUU also trails Arizona Christian by 9.

Will the Griz threepeat as champs? Losing Cherry and Ward is huge but I still see a lot of talent on the team. :coffee:

No big men. I predict the Griz will get out rebounded in most of the games this year...as well as points in the paint.

Same big men we had last year. Hutch and Martin plus a few other guys that haven't seen a lot of playing time. I think we will be okay.

SUU holds off Arizona Christian.
Weber's gonna lose.
NoCo up 4 in Manhattan with about 7 min. left.
PSU leads UNLV by 2 early.

NoCo leads by 3 with 2 minutes left. Unruh has apparently fouled out.

Bears now up 4 with 45 sec. They got an offensive board off a missed FT to maintain possession.

Bears miss front-end of a 1&1, but get another offensive board & go to the line again. Missed again. K-State going to the line on the other end with 30 sec. left.

Wildcats make 1 of 2, NoCo runs off 11 seconds before going to the line again. Makes 1 of 2, but a foul on NoCo on the rebound. K-State makes 1 of 2 to cut it to 3 again, but Bears back to the line. Svihovec makes 1 of 2, back to a 4-point game. Bears foul (when was the last FG attempt?) and K-State makes 1 of 2 to cut it back to 3 again with 14 sec.

Tie-up in the corner (NoCo out of TOs), but Bears had the arrow. Svihovec & his perfectly cropped hair back to the line with 10 sec… makes 1 of 2 ( ).

Wildcats make a bucket, but with only 1 second left. Bears beat the defending Big 12 Champs by 2. :o

Weber loses by 9, way to fight Weber, the Marry Young Center is never an easy place to play, Weber has some VERY talented sophomores and freshmen, I'm gonna enjoy watching these players progress over the years, especially Senglin. Bolomboy is a BEAST. And Berry picking up from where he left off last season.

Could be a great season ahead Finally basketball is back

p.s. Great job UNC

I was there and it looked like it was gonna get ugly fast but Weber picked it up and started playing better. To me the difference maker for Weber was #44 and then #30. Weber has nothing to be ashamed of in that game. :thumb:

It was a good one, Tresnak #40 and Senglin # 30 were awesome tonight, too bad Berry took a whole half to warm up.

The MSU men apparently watched the Bobcat football game for inspiration. They trail a Fullerton team that was picked 8th. in the Big West by 25 in Bozeman late in the first half.

NAU apparently didn't hang their heads after an exhibition loss & the departure of their star player. They beat Texas-San Antonio on the road by 11.
