I think they could be victim of another first round KO!!!! Who will be this yrs "Mercer"!!!!!CAA Flagship wrote:Or lack thereof.bandl wrote: Accuracy
Duke isn't going out in the first round this year. They follow-up a tough loss on the road to Notre Dame where they don't shoot free throws well in the last 2 minutes and then they go into Charlottesville and knock off previously undefeated UVA, going on a 17-5 run to finish the game against probably the best defense in college basketball. Duke's loaded this year, they'll be ready to play come March and are an easy Elite Eight team. How much farther they go than that depends on the matchup.dal4018 wrote:I think they could be victim of another first round KO!!!! Eh, everyone thought they were going down the drain after that bad 2 game set against Miami and NC State, and all they do after that is blow the doors off of Louisville and go into Charlottesville and beat an undefeated UVA team. If you really think they look like the team they were last year then you're just not watching - so much more talented this year and Okafor will be tough to beat in a tourney game. Every team is vulnerable, even Kentucky, but that's just for argument's sake. Duke's an easy Sweet Sixteen bet this year, barring injuries between now and then.vutomcat wrote:GannonFan wrote:

Some good points there, but, they are 4-3 in their last 7 games and they are showing the same propensity to lose to inferior opponents as last year. I am not saying they are destined to lose in the first round but they are vulnerable.
