DePaul wins its first Big East game!
DePaul beats Cinci in the first round of the Big East without winning a conference game all year.
Should all teams be allowed in your conference tourney regardless of their record?
I say no.

I say yes. That is what makes March Madness. Except in cases like the Big Sky, which limit the number of teams in conference tourney, it is already a 300+ team tourney.

I thnk tehy should. This game showed that Cincy just didn't have the heart. This is a time for bubble teams to prove themselves, and in order to do that you ahve to beat the best and the worst. Can't sleep past em all.

I'm all for it. 1) Generates more revenue for the Big East, and 2) I get to ask all the UC fans who call me a traitor how their team's doing in the conference tournament.

I have followed Louisville athletics a lot since former NAU All-American Tom Jurich became the AD there.
I used to work with TJ in the NAU Athletic Department when I was a student. Jurich also lured NAU's longtime track and cross-country coach to Louisville.

I agree... all teams should be in a conference tourney. if a team gets on a role... that's the drama of march.
pat forde had a column about this recently as a sort of smack at the perennial "make the tourney bigger" crowd.
the conference tournaments are almost as much fun as the big dance. i think the mistake ncaa makes is not marketing this as "the little dance" or somesuch thing

I may be wrong, but I recall about 10-15 years ago when Prairie View A&M won their tourney after going winless in the conference during the regular season.hank scorpio wrote:DePaul beats Cinci in the first round of the Big East without winning a conference game all year.

I say let every one in to their respective conference tourney, it makes college basketball that much more interesting.

Louisville beats Providence 73-55, probably ending Providence's NCAA hopes.
