Quite a read. Hopefully, he won't do an extra year unlike Edosomwan, who had no choice but to do a post graduate year upon Harvard admissions' advice after his senior year in HS.

I question the intelligence of anyone who would ask someone "Why Harvard?"

The real question is, "Why not Ball State?"
IvyTalk could answer that question.

Taking a scholarship at an Ivy League school. Now that's real bold.

Harvard was hit hard by graduation. I think Yale should be favored to win the Ivy this year.

Harvard off to a bad start. Only win is against MIT!

Losses to Providence, UMass, and Boston College -- and Harvard had done well against BC in recent years. Hoping to "right the ship" against Bryant.
Looks like this crew will do well to match the fourth-place Ivy preseason predictions. They can't shoot free throws worth a damn, and they generally just can't shoot. Oh, well, it was a good run while it lasted...

Amaker better teach these guys how to shoot free throws. They lost to Holy Cross 50-49 and were outscored 13-3 at the line. HC shot 13 for 16: Harvard only 3 of 8.

Well, Harvard fought gamely in a 6-point loss to Kansas at the Allen Fieldhouse. Also went 12-15 at the line. Good effort!

Harvard beats BYU in OT, 85-82. The Mormons brought all their sister wives with them, but to no avail.

The same Kansas team that beat the Griz by something like 45?

Harvard beat Dartmouth at home, 77-70, in the Ivy opener.

Harvard lost to Dartmouth on the road. This is a mediocre, inconsistent team. They have Cornell and Columbia at home this weekend, followed by the annual road trip to Penn and Princeton. I predict they'll lose 3 out of those 4.

I hate it when I'm right. Harvard managed to lose BOTH of its NY-Ivy home games last weekend! And the Cornell game --the one game of the "next 4" that I thought they'd win -- wasn't even close.

I agree with that, I but always pause when I see statements like this from the article:
Academically, there aren't many that will challenge Harvard.
There's a "chicken or egg" thing involved. I don't think we really know that Harvard is near the top of the pile in terms of providing an education. Harvard grads are very successful. But they are also the creme de la creme in terms of natural cognitive ability to begin with. Or at least the overwhelming majority of them are. And there's a certain "self fulfilling prophecy" thing involved. If you have a degree from Harvard you're going to be successful because it's a degree from Harvard.
I have yet to see any evidence that Harvard is particularly good at educating people. I'm talking about if you have some objective way to measure education while taking into account the raw material involved.
Of course it's broader than the question of Harvard. I have yet to see a real system for measuring and ranking how good schools are at educating students.

Yeah, this kid is just another thief stealing someone else's stuff and making it his own. How original.
Seriously, he was surrounded by dumb sh!ts if they wonder why he chose Harvard over Michigan and OSU.

Harvard hoops suckage continues with double road loss at Penn-Princeton. Looks like The Great Recruiter hit a speed bump this year.

Harvard split its NY road trip and now stands 3-7 in Ivy play. All they can hope for now is to be a spoiler for Princeton and/or Yale.

Looks like Harvard played the spoiler card to knock Princeton out of the Ivy race last night!
