Go Vikings. Go Hornets.

ASU doesn't schedule NAU anymore after the Lumberjacks won the previous 2 games in Tempe. I don't expect this to change anytime soon...I wonder if the Pac 12 doesn't want that recurring negative publicity?

GCU and NAU were supposedly starting a yearly series between the two schools and played the first game in Flagstaff a few years back. But the second game on that series hasn't materialized last year or this year. Is GCU dodging NAU just like ASU is? I can't imagine that NAU would rather play at Arkansas-Little Rock than in Phoenix.

Also tonight…

The Griz host Boise.
Weber hosts now Stew-less Utah State.
EWU is at Mississippi State (on the SEC Network).
NoDak beat up a DIII earlier today.

For women…

EWU beat up an NAIA earlier today.
UPSET ALERT - NoDak only trails Iowa by 2 near the half.

I didn't think they'd quite have enough to pull that off, especially with Breunig's foul trouble and Drmic's back-to-back-to-back treys. :? :thumb:

Suutah and Utah are tied late in the half.

The Bad

PSU's gonna lose at Grand Canyon.
Weber still can't beat Utah State.

The Ugly

Idaho State trails Great Falls by 16 near halftime. :o  :? :ohno:

Idaho State dominates the second half to avoid pathetic embarrassment.

SUU loses in SLC by 11. Still a decent performance, though.

Overall not a bad night particularly Sac and Griz. ISU saved themselves from an embarrassing loss.

The Hornets completely outplayed ASU in the first half. The Hornets fell behind in the 2nd half but had a gutsy performance to pull out the win. Demps was clutch as he nailed 2 3's and scored 8 of his 22 in the final 2 minutes. Graves was also solid with 20 points. If the Hornets can get solid guard play every game, this team will be fine.

Great win for this program.

Hornets rolled over Seattle in the 2nd half notching a 77-65 win. Graves put up 24 points (most in the 2nd half) as he took over the game and crushed it. Freshman Jeff Wu came through off the bench (14 points) as the refs completely dominated the game and kept the tempo low (Seattle was in the bonus with 12 mins left in the game, Demps fouled out very early but was having a terrible game).

Hornets have a string of games at home. We need to take advantage of it.

Hornets use to suck that bad. Thank you Katz! I don't envy SJSU one bit. Yikes.
SAC 95-86 USU; Hornets rack up 35 offensive rebounds
Lady Hornets put up 96 shots. Saw an interview with Hunkleroad. His goal is for 100 shots a game (also had goals for 3's, and steals but I forget them off hand).

Griz lose to SJSU 64-61. SJSU is one of the worst teams in D1. Wow. Way to keep the BSC RPI up. :ohno:

Only way the BSC has a worse loss is if someone losses to a D2/D3 opponent. Wow that is embarrassing.

San Jose could actually end up 3-1 against the Big Sky since they play MSU twice.

So no credit for the BSU win, but you immediately jump on this. Shocking. :coffee:

When is the last time you ever gave credit to a Hornet win? But yes, the Boise game was a good win...at home...with a 24 shot advantage in FTs.

The UM-SJSU game was similar to the Sac-Seattle game in that the refs completely dominated the game. UM looked like crap, shot like crap, and generally just looked like they didn't want to be there. There's no doubt UM is a lot better than how the played at SJSU...but yes I'll still rib you guys for losing to a program of that caliber. If anything it will quell the "we belong in the MWC" nonsense constantly seen on egriz hoops thread   ...as well as the calls for other BSC team to pick up the BSC RPI. :kisswink:

And anyone know what is going on with the EWU- Seattle game tonight? I was hoping to catch that one.

Saw a lot of the EWU - Seattle game. EWU had a comfortable lead most of the way but let Seattle cut it to 4 with under 2 to play. McBroom looks like he will be something special.
