Oklahoma-Kansas..Wow

I'm sure millions will claim they watched it but man, what a freaking game. Without a doubt, the best basketball game I've seen, at any level, in at least 25 years. Only game I can put on par is the classic Kentucky-Duke Christian Laettner shot.
Buddy Hield - holy crap the kid is a player. If he ain't going to be the #2 pick in the draft I want to see who's ahead of him. Both team shoot the lights out - about 50% each from 3. Atmosphere through the roof, Musburger & Vitale - some of their finest work, triple overtime, back & forth all night.
For those of you that follow Twitter - FauxPelini trolling Donald Trump with updates was a classic.
I can't wait for the rematch!

Just a great college basketball game.
Did anyone else think the Kansas player was way too close on the last inbound? Usually the refs will give the inbounding team a break when the sideline is as thin as it was.

Was wondering that same thing as I watched. They replayed it about 6 times, and no-one said anything, so I figured it was fine. don't you have to give them something like 1-2 feet?

Amazing that I saw the same thing as you guys. Saw a tweet from a national writer this morning that said it used to be 3 feet as a "courtesy", but the rule is as long as the defender doesn't break the inbounds line it's legal.

FYI: Told there used to be a 3-foot rule was more a courtesy than anything when inbounding the ball. Now the defender can't cross the line.

It's been three feet always. Based on what I am hearing I guess that never got in the rule book. The idea of rules is to make things fair. The refs usually do a good job in the arenas with small sidelines of doing that.
I just looked at the play again. He didn't give him enough room. IN fact, he was close to going over the plane. Don't want to belabor the point anymore though. It was, as Bill pointed out, a spectacular game.

I began watching early in the 1st overtime.
The first thing out of my mouth was that the KU player was too close. In the post-game interview, the KU player said that the ref warned him of the 3 foot rule. Then he admitted that he moved closer on purpose despite the warning.
