My God does Maryland suck. Not that they were going anywhere, but yet another close loss. Their 8th loss this season with a one possession game with under a minute to go.

67-66 a 3 point shot did the Cavs in!!!! UVA they depend on defense to get them over the hump they are one of the worst offensive teams in D1.Rob Iola wrote:Congrats to Louisville for that yuge win over #1 UVA!!!
I turned it off with less than a second left - did anyone catch the final score?
Umm, Virginia won that game 67-66.dal4018 wrote:67-66 a 3 point shot did the Cavs in!!!! UVA they depend on defense to get them over the hump they are one of the worst offensive teams in D1.Rob Iola wrote:Congrats to Louisville for that yuge win over #1 UVA!!!

Yes they did again 3 point shot did Cards in!!!!UVA will not make it to Final 4 with TURTLE STYLE OFFENSE better pick it up or they could be 1st round exit!!!!!AshevilleApp wrote:Umm, Virginia won that game 67-66.dal4018 wrote: 67-66 a 3 point shot did the Cavs in!!!! I agree they likely won't make the Final 4, but they should make a decent showing in the tournament. I do think that Tony Bennett is one of the best coaches in the country though. Virginia should do everything they can to keep him around for a while. And if he can compete with the Duke's, UNC's, UK's, etc, for some of the top recruits, they may finally land a Championship one year.dal4018 wrote:Yes they did again 3 point shot did Cards in!!!!UVA will not make it to Final 4 with TURTLE STYLE OFFENSE better pick it up or they could be 1st round exit!!!!!AshevilleApp wrote:

This is one of UVA's best offensive teams ever, while remaining the best defensive team in the nation. Per kenpom, UVA is 39th in offensive efficiency (and 1st in defensive efficiency). That's historically a nice place to be to be a contender to make the Final Four. I wouldn't want to play UVA in the tournament, and they're probably the only team I'd say that about.AshevilleApp wrote:I agree they likely won't make the Final 4, but they should make a decent showing in the tournament. Duke's been quietly good this year. They are 2nd and 10th in the nation for offense and defense respectively, per kenpom, and have done it against the 6th best schedule in the nation (pretty decent non conference schedule ranked at #47). If they win the ACC tourney they're a lock for the #1 seed in the East (actually maybe the South - South regional is in Atlanta this year, East is in Boston - they may think Atlanta is a better place to be). Only Michigan St is close to them in terms of both highly ranked D and O - Michigan St is 11th and 9th for offense and defense.Pwns wrote:Your final 4 will be Duke, Villanova, Michigan State, and some wild card that won't be Virginia.

Methinks you are wrong on the final four. We'll know soon enough.kalm wrote:GannonFan wrote:

This year's team does appear to have enough offense to contend for a title. I think they're a good bet for the at least the final four.
