Two Bids for the SOCON?

Conference tournaments start this week, and the Southern Conference is playing in Asheville. I've been reading that Furman is a bubble team, but most likely will be one of the first four out. The assumption being that Wofford will win the tournament. If someone else wins the tournament does Wofford have enough credibility to get a bid as well? They are currently ranked #22 (I think), with losses to UNC, Kansas, Mississippi State and Oklahoma. No really high profile wins though, unless you count South Carolina because they are SEC. I can't remember the Southern ever having more than one team.

Wofford's RPI suggests they'll likely be in anyway, but who knows what this new & opaque NET thing will do to them. Also, Greensboro's RPI is noticeably higher than Furman's.

Nothing in the way of upsets yet, but that sets up two interesting semis today. Wofford vs ETSU and UNCG (the WC) vs Furman.

Wofford wins the first game and takes on the winner of Furmansucks vs the WC tomorrow.
