SoCon Kisses Davidson's Bu$$

Really pretty pathetic to move the entire conference basketball tournament to Charlotte for one year (then back to Chatty) just to entice one player to play his Senior season (Stephen Curry).
Wonder if they would have done it for your school?
Guess Davidson really rules.....plus would give them a huge advantage in getting into the NCAA playoffs....that really is an unfair advantage that the SoCon commissioner has just given Davidson.
I know that every conference member will sell a few more tickets for each home game that they play Davidson, but to move the tournament for one year and interrupt their agreement with Chatty (and give guaranteed money away from their agreement with Chatty) and Only play the final and semi-final in Time Warner Arena because of Bobcat scheduling......I hope the conference at least got a kiss from Davidson for bending over for this one.

Is that the reason? I knew the discussion of moving to Charlotte for a year was in the works and it didn't make much sense except for experimental reasons. now it does. If I was Curry and thought I would draft high I would say thanks but no thanks.

Did the remainder of the conference have to overcome App St's tendency to want to shove a goal post through it?

I hate Davidson. I'd pull for the Taliban before I'd pull for Davidson (same with Georgia Southern--sorry BTK). As much as I hate to think they did this for Davidson and that chick Stephen Curry, I am glad it will be in the QC. Mainly because I work in downtown (uptown
) Charlotte, and will be able to walk over to the games.

Can't say I blame the SoCon. The SoCon has stunk it up in basketball the past couple of years and Curry was the lone bright spot.

I've heard they play better as the underdog where they can sneak up on you. They don't do as well when the spotlight is on them.
