I think I would have to go all the way back to a game early in Katz' tenure to find a game as bad as the one this past weekend at SUU. Wow. For whatever reason Katz' teams just suck on the road. :ohno:

I hate the new BSC scheduling. UNC should be the lone-wolf.

They're changing it every year. It was SUU last year.

Which is why I hate it. They didn't rotate the lone wolf when we were shafted with it, so let UNC be lone wolf and let them deal with that shitty hand. Just sayin'. :coffee:

They actually did rotate it. IIRC, it was NoCo for 2 years, Sac for 2 years, and ISU for 2 years from 2006-12. I believe SUU was the odd team out the last time there were 11 teams (2012-14). I assumed UND was going to be next, but Idaho rejoined and made that moot.

Having an odd number of teams is fine for football, but it's annoying for basketball. I still wouldn't mind if the Big Sky added Utah Valley as a non-football member.

I don't recall that rotation, but maybe there was one. Meh, still not taking back my rant. :)

Hornets are a total Jekyll and Hyde on the road vs being at home. :ohno:

Great atmosphere last night, packed house. Team defense was phenomenal and the Hornets had a coupe of role playing guys step up and carry the load. Held PSU well below their season average in scoring.

I know what that's like. Terps won at Northwestern (come from behind) to get their first road win. 1-4 on the road, 11-0 at home.

DK being back for the CATS men will be HUGE the rest of the year. They just haven't been the same team with him on the bench.

Portland State's men's team has a win over Northern Colorado and a loss to Idaho. Basically, we can beat or get beat by any team in the conference.

NAU continues to roll.

NAU had a tough opening to conference play - first three of four on the road (Montucky schools, Sac St). Went 1-4 to start season, all close losses that NAU had chances to win. 4-0 since then.

Women are currently sitting in third place

Sac started out ok last night but then imploded and reverted to their normal road woes. The Hornets are a completely different team on the road.

Contract year for Katz so I'm not sure how Orr is processing this season.

I forget. Is the BSCT an "everyone's in" affair, or is it something like the top 8?

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.
