Difficult to win in Missoula when you are down two starters. :ohno:

Only one Griz freshman started (Vazquez). Only 3 even play extensively since Egun's barely seeing the court now.

On the plus side, Gaskin will also be a sophomore next year… assuming he doesn't bolt like Miller did.

This team is LOADED for the next several years.

Take this group, take away Pridgett (big loss, sure), but next season GRIZ bigs will be: Steadman, Henderson, Anderson, Yagi, Owens, Carter Hollinger, and Bannan. That is 7 post players of various skills. All of which are worthy of being consistent contributors. This will be the deepest the GRIZ have ever been in the paint, to my knowledge at least.

The GRIZ backcourt will be: Gaskin, Falls, Vasquez, Egun, Brown, Clarke, Beasley, and Whitney. That is 8 quality guards. We already know how terrific DeCuire led guards play. The GRIZ will truly be even deeper at guard than prior years.

Bolded names either starters or getting significant minutes THIS year.

Montana and Idaho both made 43.1% of their shots; problem was Idaho led 3pt shooting 60-35%.

But, as expected, Samuelson led the Griz in points tonight.

The Griz freshmen are on their way, but incredibly thankful we have Pridgett and Samuelson.

Interesting that Portland State has now played 8 conference games and some teams have only played 6. I guess that has to do with us not having a travel partner.
