No word on any backstory. This doesn't make any sense. He declared for the NBA Draft after two seasons at UCONN, and that's where he was ejected. It doesn't sound like he was doing anything untoward like dissing the other team. He eventually snuck back in and sat in the student section.
This is crazy. I've voiced my opinion at road games, even to the point of single-handedly taking over the arena (that was a Big West thing; it would never happen in the WCC or the Big Sky, I'm certain), and I've never even been questioned. But to eject a guy for just standing up with a phone in his hand?
