Saw an article positing that the the NCAA was considering expanding the D-I basketball tournament to 90 teams (roughly 25% of D-I). They seem to be fixated on this 25% concept. This seems to be the complete opposite of what's going on in football. In football, all they want to do is define out the upset by keeping non-P5 teams out by rule, but they're jumping all over having sub-.500 teams in the hoops tournament (as at least one team from the Big XII, which under the 90-team rule would get all their teams in according to the article). Yes, I want to see every conference represented and some at-large bids to spread around, but this is just a bit over the top, isn't it?
