SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Very relieved to see no Detroit Mercy. The talk was that the CBI would offer a bid to them in the effort to give their hot-shooter a chance to break Maravich's scoring record, even though they have a 14-19 record,

Detroit Mercy wasn't allowed in this tournament they had a guy who had a chance to break the NCAA CAREER SCORING RECORD OF PETE MARAVICH.

Ppl within the coaching community didn't want to see Antoine Davis of Detroit Mercy to break the mark of Maravich.
