CBS-13 News in Sac is reporting that the NCAA has rejected ARCO's bid to host the Final Four in 2013. They claim that ARCO is too "run down." Mayor Kevin Johnson (a former Sac King) is livid.

Interesting thing is that the last few times ARCO has been involved in the tournament, nether Sac State nor the Manure Pile have been the official "host." That distinction has gone to UOP. I've never understood that....

I understand not getting a final four bid, but what about hosting a regional round?

The report didn't say. It mainly consisted of Johnson crying about the NCAA's capriciousness and the lack of a "decent" facility.

I guess Sac is now all about what makes Johnson feel good....
