Mason, Mason, Mason.
I was hoping he'd pull off his mask and be Steve Harvey and they'd say we all got punked. But no. That was real. Fuck me running.

Nice work by the officials giving the Flyers 53 penalty minutes and the Caps 14.
Like the Caps needed any help on special teams.

So you were hoping for nice golf clapping when it was 4-1 and there was a steady line of Flyers headed to the penalty box with under ten minutes left and the series hopelessly over? This wasn't the first delay of game penalty called on a crowd in NHL history. When you give fans free shit in hockey, you better win or there's always a good chance that the giveaway will be regifted.
I'm surprised Iola is jumping on the only-Philly-fans-get-mad-and-do-stupid-shit bandwagon.

Actually, I believe the reason the Philly fans threw their wristbands was because they found out they were really Fitbits...93henfan wrote:So you were hoping for nice golf clapping when it was 4-1 and there was a steady line of Flyers headed to the penalty box with under ten minutes left and the series hopelessly over? And since when are NHL players such pussies that they can't skate through a few gel wristbands? Also, did you see those rink girls in HD? That was worth the two minutes.

BTW, I miss the old Spectrum - one of my fondest UD memories was taking 2 buddies and our kinetics professor to a Flyers playoff game - Ron Sutter won it in OT. Of course, we had the guy's class at 8am the next morning and the bastard picked on us with questions on that day's homework...

Re: NHL Playoffs
They were toast when I posted about their first power play in game one. It took less than ten minutes to see they weren't going to score power play goals and that the Capitals are a far superior team. The Caps have outtalented and outphysicalled the Flyers from the opening drop.bluehenbillk wrote:Flyers are now toast.

On the bright side, Snider did die before he had to watch the Flyers in these playoffs. There is some blessing in that, he went out thinking the Flyers were a legit playoff team.

Shut up Iola.
Re: NHL Playoffs
Blue shirts are down 2-1, backs to the wall, everything points to them coming out at the drop of the puck and playing hard, trying to take it to the Pens.
The result, Pittsburgh runs them out of their own building in the first period...3-0.
Start of the 2nd, lets see if they show up...

Re: NHL Playoffs
Don't care for either team but it is clear that Chicago gets away with a lot of crap. Crawford might as well go start a few more fights as it always ends up with more St. Louis players in the box than Blackhawks.
