It does make it easy to switch channels and come back later. You don't even miss too many batters doing that.

Biggest thing for me was the Nats waving Werth home on that hit in the 6th - just don't understand it. The cutoff man had the ball roughly the same time Werth was rounding third - he was dead to rights.

Chooch with two big blocks and putouts behind the plate in the 9th inning on swinging 3rd strikes in the dirt. Still can catch a good game back there.

Longest 9 inning playoff game in MLB history, thanks Dusty.

Congrats to Kershaw - what a beast! Chooch, Utley & Blanton all played key roles as well!!

As did Werth (well, he was waved around, but still)!

Monday at work is going to be so fun after the Eagles beat the Skins.

What's up with the Nats fans - last night, directly behind home plate, you can clearly see a guy in the very front row wearing a Marlins shirt, and two Dodgers fans were able to scoop up seats right behind him. Were they too worried about making the Metro home with the 12 midnight closing that they just sold their seats to game 5?

Werth could possibly be the dumbest baserunner on the planet. The play was right in front of him, he should've vetoed trying to take home in that situation. Heck, he was in danger of having the guy run up and tag him if he just took a big turn around third and tried to beat him back to the bag. Remember, this is the same Werth guy who got thrown out on a snap throw from the catcher to second base in the middle of an intentional walk. There's stupid, and then there's Werth stupid. :ohno:

That's one thing you can't be serious about. Fans were there, loud and red. One of the better showings for DC fans in a long time IMO.

I was absolutely disgusted last night. When they sent Werth, I said to Mrs89 that could change the whole game. We'll never know, next batter could have struck out, but still... one of the worst coaching blunders I've ever seen. Then I was shocked to see Scherzer take the mound to start the 7th and even though that HR only made it 1-1, it was over. Great pinch HR to make it interesting, but in some ways that made it only worse that it ended up a one run game. :(

Still can't remember the last time I saw fans of opposing teams, or even more so a neutral third team, directly behind the plate. Last time may have been when Elaine sat in Steinbrenner's seats with and Orioles hat.

Yeah, can't just give away outs like they did sending Werth. Being out by 40ft was generous. He even had time to stop and think about getting into a run down.
