Adopt the Padres. One of the best farm systems in MLB, Manny Machado, and everybody here loves San Diego.
God it pains me to pick the Astros....I can’t stand American League baseball...but I think it’s gotta be them. They’re the closest geographically....

Sad.
I suggest the Red Sox, Patriots, Duke, NDSU

Manny Machado is a reason to NOT like the Padres. He is a prick.

I can’t name anyone else on the Padres. The good old days of Tony Gwynn, Dave Winfield, John Kruk, and Randy Jones are long gone.

Not to mention some of the best uniforms in pro sports.

We've had the best farm system since 2006 (give or take)...and have been trading away every key player on said farm since 2006..
...although yes, for the first time in about 15 years I'm genuinely excited about the Padres.

Hosmer and Myers are the only recognizable names prior to the Machado pick up.

The Padres dust a newer version of them off every one and a while. This year it happened to be game 2 of the season.

The TV ratings for the Rays are actually pretty good. No one wants to go to that god awful stadium.
