FWIW, Joe DiMaggio thought Simon and Garfunkel were disrespecting him in the song. Simon had to explain to him years later that they weren't literally saying DiMaggio had disappeared into obscurity, but rather that he was an icon, and America needed more icons and heroes like DiMaggio had been a couple of decades earlier. -- That was a great rendition Simon did in that video.

We've had the best farm system since 2006 (give or take)...and have been trading away every key player on said farm since 2006..

...although yes, for the first time in about 15 years I'm genuinely excited about the Padres.

The TV ratings for the Rays are actually pretty good. No one wants to go to that god awful stadium.
