Padres Managerial Search
In recent days, Moises Alou pulled out of the running for the Pads' vacant managerial slot, citing family priorities. Other candidates seem to include Buck Showalter, Joe Maddon (though he's expected to go back to Anaheim, where he spent 30 years), and Brad Ausmus, a former Padres' catcher.
SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.
