Jennifer Jo Cobb is "fleeting up" from the NASCAR Truck Series to the main NASCAR circuit for this week's race at Talladega. The first woman in NASCAR since Danica Patrick, she'll drive the #15 car. Cobb has made six Xfinity appearances for RWR; this is her first go-round in the top circuit. She led 16 laps at last October's Xfinity race at Talladega before finishing 24th. Normal #15 driver James Davison is apparently out for awhile after getting taken out in a dust-up with Rick Ware Racing teammate Cody Ware last week; there is speculation that it was intentional on Ware's part....
Anyways, congratulations to Cobb on her promotion, temporary though it may be. (That's not official. No word on whether Davison is out or not.)

Be nice. Dr. McKellar can whip your shell in math....

I saw that she wasn't there. I wonder what happened....

Editorial denouncing NASCAR's nebulous system and positing a new system with clear, publicly known requirements similar to F1's SuperLicense system. Other issues they note is the exclusion of Davison before a race, and the inexplicable inclusion of former Daytona winner Derricke Cope, who at 62 hadn't raced since 2018 and hasn't Top 10ed since 1997. The author is correct; the last-minute exclusion of Cobb seems rather arbitrary, to say the least....
