Re: Upset of the Premier League season
I think I may just adopt Brunly for this season, and wait for the Geordies to get back in to the EPL...

Is this really an upset? Well, yes it is, but this is not a bad Burnley club so it's not a HUGE upset (like when Burnley upset Liverpool in the 2005 FA Cup
). Burnley earned their first trip to the PL in 33 years via a Championship League playoff. Meaning they were playing some pretty good football last season (unlike some bottom-feeder clubs that barely avoid relegation year after year in the PL). Besides, ManU has only scored one goal in two matches this year...me thinks they miss CRonaldo already. Sorry Wayne, you're a great scorer but you're not a constant threat like CR was. And I've always iked Owen, but he is as fragile as filo dough, so he won't be much use to ManU in a couple months.
The league title is going to come down to Arsenal, Chelsea, ManCity and Liverpool...ManU will not be in the top 4 and I wonder if they will even qualify for the CL next season.

I do think there will be a new champion (my money's on Arsenal) but I wouldn't go so far as to say that Manure won't make the CL.bandl wrote:Is this really an upset? You're probably right, but I'm hoping...Grizalltheway wrote:I do think there will be a new champion (my money's on Arsenal) but I wouldn't go so far as to say that Manure won't make the CL.bandl wrote:Is this really an upset? They've just looked really flat, no flair like in years past. On the offensive side to me it seems like Rooney/Berbatov (or however the fuck you spell his name) are both waiting for someone to step up and taking the lead...but that man is playing in another country now.

I'd wager that Chelsea is your top of the table team this year... but that ManUre will be in the pack by seasons end, like it or not... I'd be content with them out of UEFA...Grizalltheway wrote:I do think there will be a new champion (my money's on Arsenal) but I wouldn't go so far as to say that Manure won't make the CL.bandl wrote:Is this really an upset? And another thing about Burnley....remember when Hull tore through the first 1/3ish of the season last year....and then...
