USA holds on, wins 1-0, advances to play the Netherlands in a round of 16 game on Saturday. Hopefully Pulisic isn't too injured as he didn't come back on after halftime. Good game by the US, gave a few chances up there at the end, but nothing too dangerous. Good World Cup for this group and now they get a shot at a good, but beatable, Dutch team.

I agree but found it funny. I haven't watched much of this WC but Mexico is typically a very physical team so it would have been rich if they missed advancing due to cards received.

Canada vastly underperformed, Costa Rica somehow won a game and still ended up -8 in goal differential, and Mexico couldn't even qualify past a sleepy and unremarkable Poland team. Thank goodness the next World Cup has so many more teams so that we can watch more of this in the group stages.
