I have some sort of dim hope that Dannyboy will figure it out eventually. I mean, he is a great business man who was able to buy an NFL franchise. If you can figure out how to do that, I would think you could figure out that your only job as an NFL owner is really to sign the checks, not be the one who decides who to write the checks to. He didn't get to where he is as a business man by himself...you'd think he would realize that he needs to hire people that know what they are doing to run his franchise.
Myself and alot of my friends who are Redskins fans have all said this recently....this is not the Redskins team we grew up watching and being so proud of. This is not the same product. People laugh at the Redskins (and rightfully so) because of what a joke the franchise is now. Times were much better as a Redskins fan when people hated the Redskins because of the teams success (i.e. the Patriots of now...before their Super Bowls no one, including people in New England, really cared about them.)
Agreed.
During the Chiefs game when people were chanting sell the team, the Post reported how shocked Snyder and Cerrato were, that their egos are such they could not possibly believe the fans would hold them responsible.
I honestly trace a lot of this back to Snyder growing up as a Skins fan and hating the Cowboys, and a massive inferiority complex he has towards that team and Jerry Jones. Everything Jones does, Snyder tries to outdo him. Now that the Cowboys Stadium is open, I fully expect Danny boy to try and convince DC to allow him to build a 1-Upsmanship Dome on the RFK site. The only difference between the two teams is that Jones has just the slightest bit of football sense and that's kept him from ruining the Cowboys the way Snyder has the Redskins.
I honestly don't ever expect Snyder to admit that he can't do what Jones has and as long as he believes he can out-do whatever the Cowboys have done, the Redskins are in serious trouble. I haven't even been able to hate them the last few years, I just feel worse for everyone who cheers for them.
