H.S. Football on Thanksgiving

Post by COBBLESTONE »

Here in RI high school football on Thanksgiving morning is a big tradition. Some teams have been playing eachother for over 50 years. Do any of your states have such a tradition of Thanksgiving morning? Do any of you attend any of those games?

I'll be attending North Kingstown vs. South Kingstown which will be played at URI.

How about any of you?
If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away.

Enjoy the game, CS. Football and thanksgiving = perfect together.

Might take the kids over to see Fordham Prep v. Xavier -- a Thanksgiving game that has been played for like a century,

I really miss that tradition...growing up in SE Massachusetts where the same tradition still exists, I would go to several games...Durfee/New Bedford...Somerset/Case are two of the biggies...

My HS didn't have a football team at the time so I went to the big games involving other schools...

I do miss that...enjoy, Cobble...
