Also cool to see a guy from here in the Baton Rouge metro area (Port Allen) make the big essentially game clinching play on that pick six.
Well, I believe that I must tell the truth
And say things as they really are
But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?

Re: Super Bowl XLIV
I wish I'd said it on this board earlier but I told my wife earlier today that, from what I saw in the admittedly little I watched NFL football this year, the Saints were by far the best team when they played their best game. The problem is that they were inconsistent. But the single most impressive NFL performance I saw this year was when the Saints dismantled the Patriots. I told my wife this morning when she was worried because she heard a bunch of experts picking the Colts that I thought it was just a question of whether or not the Saints played their best game. I don't know if they played their best game but it turned out they played well enough to win. Brees outplayed Manning; no question. Both played well but Brees played the better game.

Where I live, in the Baton Rouge area, I just tried again and I'm still getting a "Network Busy" message when I try to call anybody on my cell. There's fireworks going off and such.

JohnStOnge wrote:
just talked to my sister on her cell phone who was in the Quarter. Circuits are fine down there.
Might just be your area or your carrier...I just talked to her again. It's pretty fucking loud down there

Are you tools going to talk about that classless POS Manning walking off the field and not being courteous in the loss?
I didnt think so, and I dont expect the media to do it either they are gonna make excuses for the big game loser Manning.

...then i said...Craneac Cowboy wrote:very true we did lead the league in takeways. yeah drew did have an off night but as an athlete myself, i made the comment that I have noticed that prior to state championships or the championship game in a tournament i usually get nervous about those games rather than the championship game itself.
drew will be on for the super bowl so im not worried about it
Craneac Cowboy wrote:he might... and drew brees might throw for 500 yards. shouldnt we all know that IS should never be used before a game? example = rams vs patriots... patriots vs rams... usa hockey vs russia hockey...
no body is Chad Ocho Cinco or T.O. so nobody can say IS hahaha
but u understand what you want to happen
HMMMMMMMMMMM im no analyst but im pretty damn close to figuring this shit out... i referred to takeaways being a key part and drew brees being on... HMMMMMMMMMM +1 takeaways and SUPER BOWL MVP DREW BREES.... HMMMMMMM WHAT WHAT IN THE COLTS BUTT!
i also want to say when there is a team from Louisiana in one of the 3 major sporting events whether its a college national championship game or professional world championship game we win... LSU Baseball = 6-0 in the college world series championship game, LSU football 3-0 in the national championship game, LSU basketball 1-0 in the national championship game, the New Orleans Saints 1-0 in the super bowl, UL Monroe football 1-0 in national championship, Louisiana Tech WOMENS basketball 3-5 in national championship games, and thats all i can think of
now McNeese did lose twice in the football national championship
so when it comes to Louisiana PER CAPITA... bet on US
we, the Saints, are and were the favorite team to every American outside of Indiana. My sister is in Buenos Aires, Argentina getting them people crunk down there
but to all the haters...

Re: Super Bowl XLIV
By we, when refering to the fan base, are you talking about the Saints fans that were fans before the last 3 months...or the fanbase of about 100million people that it currently is.
I wouldn't care that the Saints won, but how shit I can't stand all of the idiots who didn't give a shit about the Saints or the city of New Orleans before the season, or as recently as the start of the playoffs who are now touting they are the biggest Saints fans ever and wearing all of the Saints shit yelling WHO DAT every 2 seconds. They are worse, bandwagon wise, than the Cowboys and Pats.

The Saints fans have been loud in proud here in the Houston for the two years I've lived here. Yes they are more vocal now and theres more, but that happens to every team who makes the Super Bowl. Especially the underdogs.clenz wrote:By we, when refering to the fan base, are you talking about the Saints fans that were fans before the last 3 months...or the fanbase of about 100million people that it currently is.
