Eagles really blew their shot.... good for so many years and produced nothign.

Re: Super Bowl Scoresheet
Yep. It's makes it even more frustrating when flash-in-the-pan teams like the Ravens, Bucs, and Saints win.dgreco wrote:Eagles really blew their shot.... good for so many years and produced nothing.

The Atlanta Braves of the NFL? Nah, I got to stick that to the Bills.dgreco wrote:Eagles really blew their shot.... good for so many years and produced nothign.
Appalachian State Mountaineers:
National Champions: 2005, 2006, and 2007

At least the Braves won one. There's a certain gay poster on here that has an avatar of Peyton Manning with "Choke" underneath it. Again, he's won a Super Bowl and his team didn't have to cheat to win it like some teams did.ASUMountaineer wrote:The Atlanta Braves of the NFL? Peter King said the Colts are on the verge of becoming the "Atlanta Braves of the NFL". If they continue for the next few years to have great regular seasons and no championships I think thats a fair comparison.ASUMountaineer wrote:The Atlanta Braves of the NFL? Bills is still good, but Colts will be more current if it does happen.

Re: Super Bowl Scoresheet
John Kasay kicking the ball out of bounds against the Patriots was completely boneheaded. Pretty much handed New England the Super Bowl with a minute left.
A shame too, as the Panthers had a chance to force OT and a real shot to win the game.

I give the Bills credit for getting to 4 in a row, even though they lost them all, that is a great accomplishment.ASUMountaineer wrote:The Atlanta Braves of the NFL? Nah, I got to stick that to the Bills.dgreco wrote:Eagles really blew their shot.... good for so many years and produced nothign.

The Eagles had 2 great windows of opportunity. Under Buddy Ryan they had perhaps the NFL best defense for a few years, and never won a playoff game.dgreco wrote:Eagles really blew their shot.... good for so many years and produced nothign.
Under Reid they got to 5 NFC championship games and 1 Super Bowl but never won it all.

I agree, Jim Kelly was always one of my favorites. The Braves did get one, but to win your division 14 years in a row and be there so many times and fall short...the Bills seem to be the closest.BlueHen86 wrote:I give the Bills credit for getting to 4 in a row, even though they lost them all, that is a great accomplishment.ASUMountaineer wrote:

Yeah, but Peyton gets no sympathy from me...he's had what? 7 straight years with 12 or more regular season wins...only missed the playoffs once? Only has one ring...and he only had to beat Sexy Rexy to get it.93henfan wrote:At least the Braves won one. Ironic, considering he chokes on Brady's dick on a regular basis...93henfan wrote:At least the Braves won one.
