They throw batteries, piss, vomit, anything, at our players and fans, in Mexico and the US, their team will not acknowledge ours after a game, when they lose it's because their players were tired from flying from Europe, it just goes on and on. They have zero class and deserve all the scorn that's coming their way.

Yeah:

“A player is in an offside position if he is nearer to his opponents’ goal line than both the ball and the second-last opponent.”

I was thinking that offsides can't be called on corner kicks, but that only applies to directly playing the ball, much like a throw in. Had the Mexican player who "scored" the goal touched the ball first, there would have been no problem. However, once the ball was deflected, offsides can be called.

In the heat of the moment, it looks like the ref blew the call... thus my reaction, but it was actually the right one and a very good one.

And if the keeper would have touched the ball then the Mexican player wouldn't have been offsides.

God has such a rye sense of humor that sometimes he just kills me with His irony.
How about France being denied a penalty kick that could have won the game because the ref did not call a handball (of all things) AND it happened to Mr. Thierry Henry himself.

The World Cup is on? Where? Is the US in it? If so, who do we play?

Actually I was kidding. But I could give a rats ass about soccer. The little bit of soccer I've ever seen I've seen guys barely touched just flop on the ground. WTF? If someone runs into you be a man, don't act like a fu**ing pu**y. Sport is played by a bunch of pu**ies.....Plus its B-O-R-I-N-G!

You haven't figured out his shtick by now? He just is not very happy about life in general.

Anyways....SK up 2-0 on Greece. :o I knew they had it in them to beat one of these teams in this group, but I didn't expect them to be the BETTER team in any match. Wow.

Tabitha has Greece winning the group and Argentina not advancing. 8-)

Though he did not score, Messi looked like he had plenty of attempts, eh? I think he puts 2 in the net vs Greece, 1-2 vs SK. :winky:

Just realized I'm "supposed" to attend a conference next Friday the 18th.... don't think that's going to happen. At least not until after noon... and I may be slightly inebriated. Off to get drank and talk smack with some Brits. USA!!!

You're right, and for some reason that was still fresh in my mind.
South Korea definitely did look better than I anticipated though.
