Re: Algerian Player Rafik Saifi Slaps Female Reporter After
Just on the basis of the post, I don't know if this occurred in the locker room or not. I know about the on-going debate over female reporters in the locker room. Personally, I feel that the locker room is a sactuary and should not be defiled by ANY reporter, female or otherwise.
That said, I'm glad she defended herself. I hope she knocked his @$$ out.

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

It happened as he was walking through the media availability area. Nothing was said before hand but the player was previously upset over a story the reporter had written.

It was in a hallway with other reporters and he went over to her. Apparently she has written some criticisms of him back in the past (She's from the main newspaper in Algeria) and he wasn't happy about it.SuperHornet wrote:Just on the basis of the post, I don't know if this occurred in the locker room or not. Algeria has showed themselves to be as low class as their former colonial masters did during this tournament.
