Strike em out- throw em out or strike im out-throw im out?

Post by UNHWildCats »

Which is correct? In baseball I've always seen it as strike em out... but Gordon Edes is using strike im out on twitter and says its the grammatically correct way.

Depends on whether you're saying "strike THEM out" or "strike HIM out".

neither are "grammatically correct".
any more than using "ain't", "o'er", or "holla".

But neither variation is "more wrong" than the other. (unless one is referring to female players, in which case, "strike em out" would be more applicable.

It depends if you stand in line or stand on line.

Because people from New York City are idiots.
