For (SF) Giants Fans

A friend of mine who suffered under horrible Giants teams and is now vindicated is claiming this moment is the best in history.

Strictly in terms of Giants history, I don't see how this holds up. Perhaps in the SF era. But to me there's no way this stands up to The Shot Heard Round the World.

And in terms of Bay Area sports history, one title vs. several A's titles and The Catch (plus several Whiner SBs) seem to outweigh this one title by a ton.

Any takers? Or am I just being a fogie yet again?

For the SF era it is the biggest baseball event in SF. Shot heard round the world (Giants lost Series) was 1 play, same with Mays catch (Giants won), both with NY. Oakland's 3-peat was probably bigger, Reggie, Catfish, Rollie, Sal, Vida True Blue etc. NFL championships, Clarks catch, big events too as the Warriors title with Rick Barry.
