McFraud

Post by AssKickinChicken »

I think it's pretty obvious by now why the Eagles dumped Donovan McNabb and weren't the least bit concerned about trading him within their division. McNabb has been worse than mediocre, he's the 27th rated passer in the NFL with a woeful 76.0 QB rating. The one thing McNabb use to do well, protect the football, has gone into the crapper as he has already thrown 13 Ints vs only 11 TD passes. Andy Reid may have his faults, but he sure as hell got this one right.

How come you guys haven't begged Kurt to come back?

Cardinals probably realized that god won't help him win a Superbowl... nor will god help you make a game winning, 40 yard touchdown catch. :twocents:

Well when you go from having Maclin + Jackson + McCoy, to Moss + rotating door at RB, you can expect a huge dropoff

Look at what McNabb had before that crew...

Thrash, Pinkston, Mitchell, Lewis, Smith, etc

You can sprinkle in T.O. for a season and a good RB in Westbrook... but McNabb has dealt with a bad cast of receivers before.

I'm not going to say McNabb was always overrated... but he was. Us Eagles fans always knew he was EXTREMELY inconsistent. One pass he'd look like Johnny U and the next like Johnny Cash. He always had a knack of missing the easy passes while his receivers bailed him out on the tough ones. His non-chalant attitude is what always bothered me. There was a story this week about a player being caught laughing (maybe even just smiling) on the sidelines during a loss... that was always McNabb.

As for the weapons he's missing, that's true to an extent, but it also has a lot to do with the linemen and the system as well. When McNabb missed games, the Eagles still won. Didn't matter if it was Detmer, Feeley, Garcia, Kolb, Vick... the only exception to that was when they had to start Mike McMahon in 2005, but they weren't winning with McNabb that year either.

And to think of all the crap that was directed towards Eagle fans all those years because we weren't paying proper respect to how good of a QB we had. I'll just take this thread as a blanket apology and move on.

And of course, it's starting to look like the influence behind all these QB's coming to Philly and doing well could very well be Mr. Andy Reid. He still needs to win the big one sometime, but there's no doubt the man can coach up a QB better than almost anyone.

Yes - and check out the thread about him :)

Hall is on IR. Anderson has a concussion, and sucks, anyways. We are all hoping for a Skelton Start
