The Padres somehow acquired Aaron Harang, perhaps the best starting pitcher my Reds have had this decade.

Also, the SD roster doesn't reflect the presence of Bartlett yet, though the TB site says the deal is all but done. I wonder what's holding it up.

SH, I know you don't hear much news on pitchers out side of the manure pile and the Bee over there with your WCB, but Harang is an awful pitcher (especially the past few seasons) and is no where near being the best pitcher the Reds have had in the past decade. Even at his best, he was a mediocre, middle of the pack pitcher. Maybe he had 2 or 3 exceptional seasons, but as a whole career/decade, mediocre to bad.

3. I don't know why you're asking about unrelated derogatory school monikers, Andy, but yes, Cow Poly does in fact refer to Cal Poly. It's the common Big West punk-out term for them. The Manure Pile is my personal punk-out term for UC Davis. They have a habit of leaving a fresh pile of cow manure outside the visitor's locker room. They cheat like that to win. You can't function when that crap gets in your lungs.
