I agree that Arizona was on the short end of the stick more often than not but not on every one.dbackjon wrote:Arizona got jobbed numerous times:
1) Holding calls - called on Arizona many times, similar takedowns by Pittsburgh not called
2) Block in the back - Tim Hightower was blocked in the back on the interception return - no call
3) Roughing the passer - bullshit call on Dansby, later hits on Warner not called
4) Roughing the holder - Wilson was PUSHED into him
5) James Harrison - he should have been ejected for throwing multiple punches
6) Hines Ward - threw a punch, not flagged
7) Last fumble was NOT a fumble - his arm was in motion
1) Holding calls - agreed
2) Block in the back - missed this particular one but am pretty sure there were some clips/holds during that runback
3) Roughing the passer - agreed
4) Roughing the holder - Not sure a push mattered, his forward momentum was taking him into the holder.
5) James Harrison - absolutely should have been ejected. Hopefully he'll be fined & suspended to start 09.
6) Hines Ward - missed this one
7) Last fumble was NOT a fumble - his arm was in motion but I don't think he had control of the ball. Regardless, it was too important of a play not to be reviewed.
Sometimes you get the calls, sometimes you don't and Arizona didn't get them yesterday. Maybe it was a Rooney > Bidwell thing for the NFL.

Harrison should have been ejected. Anywhere else in the world, a closed fist to the face would be assault.
The calls in that game were horseshit. I'd have thrown things had I had things to throw and something to throw at that wasn't the TV.

Re: I am numb right now
I think some friends of mine may have inadvertently cursed the Cards... after the touchdown drive that put the Cards up 23-20, Warner ran over to the sideline where he was promptly hugged for about a minute by Matt Leinhert. One of my friends commented "Does this mean we are going to have to refer to Leinhert as "Superbowl winning quarterback Matt Leinhert?""... this conversation went on for about a minute among the group until I pointed out they probably cursed the game and that Big Ben was going be the proverbial car windshield to Arizonas face. We all know how that turned out.

Warner is the new Brett Favre - Will get you far, then when it really matters, will fukc up majestically.
"Sarah Palin absolutely blew AWAY the audience tonight. If there was any doubt as to whether she was savvy enough, tough enough or smart enough to carry the mantle of Vice President, she put those fears to rest tonight. She took on Barack Obama DIRECTLY on every issue and exposed... She did it with warmth and humor, and came across as the every-person....it's becoming mroe and more clear that she was a genius pick for McCain."

I just love "hearing" grown men cry (whine, complain, bitch)
It's football. Shit happens. Teams lose. Refs are human. Woulda, shoulda, coulda.
Guys, have a beer, cry and let it go. It is better for your mental health to do so.
