Packers Draft - No not the beer they offer

Post by VictorG »

So, who or what position will they draft?

They claim to put talent available above need but I'm betting they go big time for someone who can pressure the QB. DL or LB. They say they have people they are confident in already waiting in the wings (on the team but hurt or still developing) but I wouldn't be surprised to see their first 2 picks for Defensive players. Maybe even a trade up again????

Mid round pick(s) OL, and a QB with 6th or 7th pick.....

Any other guesses??

Defensive ends, another outside LB, then OL.

Trouble is to nail down what appears to be a sure bet in those categories require a high draft position, which they do not have.

They are still one of the youngest teams in the NFL and say they have lots of young developing players. If that's so, they may feel comfortable packaging a few draft choices and moving up, but for who I have no idea!

I think it's easier to pick up a diamond in the rough later at the OLB and DE spots then it is the OLine so I'd go after an OL in the 1st if the draft dictates it. If not, go best player available

Thankfully we have a mobile QB who has learned to get out of the pocket

They need help with the pass rush! I say either a DE or an OLB to take the pressure off of Clay.
