Probably not. All 18 sports fans were at the Miami Marlins game.

Based on what? They made the SC Finals in the 90s...

I took it to mean second in 15 years. Maybe Ivy didn't realize they were in the Cup finals though.

Fair point. I'd forgotten that. Or never knew it, one or the other. ;)

Still remember the "fog game" in the '75 Cup finals, however!

Look for the brooms in Philly Wednesday night.

Pens could be three players light. Adams is already out for Game 4 while Neal & Asham have hearings with the league coming up over yesterday's cheap shots.

I guess I never realized the Rangers have only been to 10 SC finals in their existence. They are 4-6 in the finals in their 86 year history. I mean I hate the fact that I was playing Squirt hockey when the Flyers last won the Cup, but damn... 10 times in 86 years... and for 41 of those years there were only 5 other teams competing.

Neal: "I'm flying through the neutral zone," he told reporters after the game. "I'm regrouping. I didn't even mean to hit him (Couturier). I don't even know if the puck was at his feet or not or where it was. I think we just chipped it. I let up as much as I could and it is what it is."

What a bunch of bullshit. Yeah, when you let up, you often lower your shoulder, leave your feet and jump into a skater.

I was just talking to Sandusky (real name Matt), my housemate from Pittsburgh. I reminded him of how well his hockey team is doing. Woot.

Also, did anyone else here realize that the Penguins call Fleury "Flower" in the locker room? Saw that in an article on philly.com. Whassupwitdat? :?

So - the Caps call Alexander Semin "Jizz" in the locker room. And also to the media...

FWIW, I believe Fleury is French for "flower" or something similar. Or maybe it means sieve. Or something else.

Neal technically gets 2 hearings for separate hits - I like the twitter joke about whether he'll actually have to leave the room and come back in...

Are the punishments supposed to be dished out before the game tomorrow?

Strike 1:
ESPN - The NHL has suspended Pittsburgh Penguins forward Craig Adams for one game and fined coach Dan Bylsma $10,000 for Adams' actions late in Game 3 of Pittsburgh's first-round series against the Philadelphia Flyers on Sunday.

Adams went after Flyers forward Scott Hartnell late in the third period of Game 3. Hartnell was involved in an altercation with Sidney Crosby when Adams intervened. He yanked Hartnell's hair and the two started fighting.

Adams was assessed a minor penalty for instigating, a major penalty for fighting and a game misconduct.

Meanwhile, Pittsburgh forwards Arron Asham and James Neal also face suspensions for their roles in various fights.

Dirty fucker Andrew Shaw suspended for three games for cheap shot against Yotes goalie Mike Smith.

Blackhawks should be forced to skate a man down all of game 3 - Smith clearly wasn't all in the rest of the game.

Shaw should have been suspended for rest of playoffs.

Not sure we saw the same thing because I would have given 1 game for Shaw. The result was horrible but Shanahan should not be looking at that when assessing penalties. Not blaming Smith at all because he was following through with his normal play but only reason it was as bad as it was was because Smith was leaning forward with his head was down and stepped into it (natural motion for Smith). He just didn't see it coming.

Shaw was coming towards the boards and trying to block the pass out. You still can't touch the goalie but the 3 games is a reaction to the injury and not to the play itself.

By the way, I am an impartial observer as a fan of an Eastern Conference team. Based on this, Pittsburgh twosome better be getting more than 3 each.

Pretty cool that the NHL has Shanahan make a quick video about each suspension explaining their thinking. Every sport should do this...
